National Clean Plant Network

The National Clean Plant Network (NCPN) was formed in 2008 as part of the USDA APHIS. The NCPN is comprised of clean plant centers, scientists, educators, state and federal regulators, nurseries, and growers of specialty crops that work together to ensure that plant propagation material is clean and available.

Crops supported by the NCPN include berries, citrus, fruit trees, grapes, hops, roses and sweetpotatoes. There are three NCPN-Fruit Tree centers, the Clemson Clean Plant Center in South Carolina, Foundation Plant Services in Davis, California, and the Clean Plant Center Northwest in Prosser, Washington.

NCPN Mission

Healthy agriculture through clean plants.

NCPN Vision

Safeguarding and supporting specialty crops by providing a sustainable source of clean plant material through innovation, collaboration, translational science and outreach.
